Pierce county held its first Touch A Truck day yesterday at Sprinker Community center. They had vehicles from fire trucks and ambulances to Army trucks and tractors and everything in between. All of the trucks were opened up so the children could climb up in them and see what made them go. They had a ladder fire truck there with its ladder fully extended which was pretty cool because I have only seen that on TV and never up close, it was pretty amazing to see how high they could actually reach. Jason was in his element showing and explaining to the boys all the little ins and outs of each truck. They even had an hour that was free of any loud noises like horns and sirens for children like Ayden that have a hard time handling such noises. It makes me happy to know that the people planning for this event took a moment to think of who they were planning it for because sometimes events planned for children aren't always that friendly for children that get overwhelmed easily.

Touch A Truck
Looking at the extended ladder.
Driving one of the Army trucks.
Daddy showing Alex all of the buttons.
Aren't they sweet!
Showing the boys a street griinder.

That's awesome! And great pictures. :)
If they do this again, you should let Claire know. Lewis would be in heaven.
The boys and Jason looked like they were really having fun! It is wonderful how much Jason interacts with the kids because having a close relationship with both parents is priceless!
Love you all
