We often take family walks during the daytime so it is a special treat when we take a night walk. Jason as he often does decided out of nowhere that tonight was the perfect rainy night to take our special night walk so he drove us down to the Tacoma pier and we walked along the water throwing rocks and drinking hot chocolate. This spot in particular is a good mix between city and nature because even though you are surrounded by the city lights,trains and ships you are right at the water able to hear the sounds of the tide and smell ocean. A hail storm ended our walk short because Jason wasn't prepared for hail hitting his bare head. Even though it was short we all got a chance to expel energy and spend valued time together.
